nothing to do...

It's Saturday!... and there's nothing to do. I should have brought Danealle with me. It could have been a better day to spend. OMG! so boring, nothing to do... This is my 20th Saturday... I have been spending 20 Saturdays, doing nothing! but I got paid. I'm just lucky that I have the urge to blog... if not, I think, I'm god damn dead of dullness. I keep on thinking of the things that would keep me busy... but I end up doing nothing. I don't know if that is because I'm pre-occupied of thinking... of going HOME.

Saturday Blues:

1. Andrew's Syndrome - a syndrome that has so many symptoms:
                          a. feeling of being tired (usually feeling after Friday Shift)
                          b. acute tardiness, every Saturday
                          c. unending worthless reasons
                          d. severe irritability to all things
                          e. physically present, mentally absent

2. Sleepy mode- everybody is looking for the perfect "slouch" to pretend they are doing something.

3. Talk time topics - unbelievable!
                                               a. unforgettable games during our childhood
                                               b. unending over idleness
                                               c. hot and juicy gossip...entertainment!
                                               d. Chinese vs. Koreans

4. Endless visitation of the bathroom - there a saying... " a bathroom every hour, makes sleepiness away." Its like, the bathroom is our friend; we can rely on it, in times of trouble.

5. Everlasting break

6. Temporary insanity

7. Killing "nik-nik" to our own station.

8. Stretching is next to bathroomness.

9. Killing time at our own risk!

10. Getting used to it!

... Saturday maybe family day (already) to other people but to us... it is a sacrifice... an ordeal... a burden, that we have to enjoy for the rest of our stay in this sanctuary.

saying goodbye....

I have been employed for 15 years. In that 15 years, I have been with different people with different attitudes and behaviors. I love working. I love working with people. Maybe that's why I choose to become a teacher. I can say that I have handled peculiar students which somehow I earned RESPECT from my superiors and colleagues. Teaching is not work... its a calling and passion; but this is not about being my teacher.

In every HELLO there is GOODBYE... before I land in an on-line teaching job, I have had my past goodbyes'... (as in goodbyes!) (ilan na nga ba?) as far as my resume is concerned... this is my fifth job!!! No issues in my former employer... I decided to go because of some unavoidable circumstance like the proximity of the work and the need for growth. You know, there are decisions that you have to make for yourself... but at the end of the day, it is something that you will ponder.

Here are some possible reasons for saying GOODBYE:

1. You need to go to work 6x a day- meaning Saturday is also a work day
2. Environment sucks - meaning working environment is not healthy (anymore!) (ex. strolling rat in the canteen, stations, and quadrangle)
3. Socially ineffective - meaning you are beginning to become a bully
4. Salary - meaning your compensation does not equal to your performance (BONGGA!)
5. Management - meaning you don't know who is the real boss.
6. Incapacitated mind - meaning you begin to suspect that your company is falling apart
7. Deafening silence - talk and forever lose your peace... (hanep Myda... bigat nito!)
8. Scary bathrooms without water and manual flushing (as in step by step)
9. Offered by another company - meaning higher compensation and great schedule
10. Fell in love - meaning you fell in love with your fellow worker
11. Schedule - meaning over social life, no quality time with the family
12. Irritant - meaning so many idle time, too many concerns
13. Star Wars effect - meaning you are like in a star wars movie, trying to avoid superiors, because they might terminate you... (inunahan mo na!)
14. At large - meaning you are unrestrained personally, that you wanted to escape(siLOVEkaba?)
15. Bipolar or schizophrenic - trying to be different to any and everyone
16. Third world - meaning you are acdc, lesbian, gay, metrosexual and the likes...
17. Stalker - meaning you'd like to follow somebody to and from another company, within the building premises, across the building of your new work... ( anu ba sya?... friendster, facebook, twitter, netlog, myspace, hi5, blogger...na kailangan i-follow!)

18. Barb wire syndrome - read between the line

19. Embarrassing/ Ashamed moment - meaning some uncomfortable situation(s) you made, seen by many people... are kinda unforgettable.
20.  ROCK star exit - meaning everyday tardy, one day absent, the next day resignation.
21. Work Ethics - meaning you are affected by other's behavior and attitude towards work.

You may have different reason(s), still its Goodbye!!!
Saying goodbye is so sad. It's like you are leaving a part of your dream... which you know will continue to your next journey...leaving your friends and colleagues... is quite emotional, but the best part of it is your relieved, your at peace and you get what you want.

***Dedicated to my friend JOWANING!
